About the Project
Increasing community resilience through its Natural Resources.
The land development model on land cannot be separated from the coast. They support each other, the impact on land will also be felt on the coast, and vice versa.
Agricultural development with the concepts of Permaculture, Agriculture, Agroforestry, etc. both focuses on changing people's behavior to be able to live a better life.
Local Resources
Utilizing local resources for sustainability through short or periodic assessments based on time availability, to explore:
- Mapping the potential of the region including social, cultural, political, economic and environmental.
- Understanding the behavior of the community that has been running.
- Dig into the calendar of the seasons that occur regularly.
- Approach potential community groups, including leaders.
- Needs analysis.
Sustainable Life
The application of the concept based on the suitability of the model that is feasible to be applied in an area, various technical approach models such as:
- Zoning-based planning in accordance with the concept of Permaculture.
- Make a planning design that is in accordance with the needs of the community.
- Integrating aquaculture adaptive to local climates and introducing new practices suited to local conditions.
- Prioritizing organic treatment in implementation.
- Diversity is very important to get maximum impact.
Utilizing Learning Media
Every activity in the community requires props or media that facilitate public understanding, some of which are:
- Development of learning modules or guides.
- Through video media or tutorials that are easily understood by the public.
- Give examples of practices elsewhere that have succeeded in doing so.
- Through the media, games and direct practice will accelerate public understanding.
Monitoring and Evaluation
An activity can be said to be successful if regular assistance is carried out to form local champions and change strategies according to the situation, for this reason it is necessary to:
- Monitoring activities on a regular basis, including providing assistance and strengthening the capacity of local champions.
- Evaluation is carried out on a regular basis to the mentors for the preparation of new steps.
- Collection of field data and community stories as study material.
